Hello, ladies. Those of you who have been with me for a while know how it is when I'm up against a major deadline. Those of you who are new to our blog are probably wondering where the Sam Hill I've been! I'm writing the most complicated book I've ever done -- and I have no one to blame but me for doing this to myself! --and it's eating up every creative cell in my brain.
But I'm thinking of you -- praying for you (I really am) -- and tucking away the great ideas I have for future posts once this puppy is on its way to the editor.
Please, please hang in there together and keep supporting each other. I will be back before I leave for my five days in San Antonio for my spiritual retreat to give you some meat to chew on while I'm gone. Meanwhile, know that I love you and appreciate you.
Blessings,
Nancy Rue
We love you too, Mrs. Rue!! :) I'll be praying for you as you work on finishing your book!
Update on my grandfather-- He got to go home from the hospital on Saturday!! He still can't swallow yet but the doctor was able to put in a different type of feeding tube so he wouldn't have to stay in the hospital. Yay! He's doing much better now that's he's been home. Thanks for the prayers!

Happy New Year :)
Good for you, Mrs. Rue! I hope you have a wonderful time in Texas!
Quick prayer request- I've had really severe eye pain all day. I'm not sure what's causing it, and neither is my doctor. I know it's a long shot that I'd go blind or anything, but I'm kind of a worrier by nature...so I'm a bit stressed out. thanks so much!

Sarah-That's wonderful!
Katie-Will pray for you. I understand completely. I have just found out I have a heart problem, and of course I have occasionally assume the absolute worst, but in reality, it will more than likely be okay (thankfully!) Same for you. Try not to worry too much, and give it to God, that is what I have done, and it helps, so much.
Can't wait for you to post again Mrs. Rue!

(note: don't read the comments that come after the video, many of them are rude and rather depressing. I found it when a friend posted it on facebook.)

Hey Melody, how cool! -- I watched that exact video today. If we use it properly, Facebook is an amazing way to spread Jesus' love.

Thanks for sharing the vid, Melody!!
OK, I just gotta tell y'all...I went to Winter Jam last night!!!! It was my first time ever, and it was AH-MAZING. ;) If you haven't heard of it, here's the website:
www.jamtour.com
Basically, it's a mega-concert-thing with 10 amazing Christian bands, a speaker or two, an illusionist/escape artist, and you get in for only 10 bucks, at the door - no tickets! It's really great. And my family got there about an hour or so early, got a good place in line, and just as everyone was rushing up the no-longer-blocked-off steps, my youth group joined up with us at the last instant possible before the barriers would have cut them off. It was awesome! We got great seats and had a great time...it was great. ;) Anyway, just had to share (it was absolutely necessary for my existence...jk). :)
Hope y'all are having an amazing weekend! Praying for you, Mrs. Rue - about the book and your week at the Academy! Love y'all. <3
