Good morning, Ladies!
Merry Eleventh Day of Christmas! Is that Lords a Leaping or Pipers Piping? I can never keep that straight. Whichever it is, I htink it means we're supposed to celebrate with something similar to music and dancing because even though the twinkly lights have dimmed, we are only beginning to see the significance of the Real Light. Ya gotta love that, right? So please do something to embrace that -- and share with us.
My form of celebration will be quieter because I'm recovering from an illness. It's not serious but it could have been if I hadn't taken care of it, which means rest. That's why I'm just now posting for you. We'll begin our Epiphany series on Tuesday -- if you're up for it.
I kind of have a feeling you will be . . .
Can't wait, my friends. And again, happy, happy new and promising year.
Blessings,
Nancy Rue

Happy New Year, Mrs. Rue! Sorry to hear you've been sick.. Praying you feel better soon!
I'm looking forward to starting the Epiphany series! :)

I don't really know if this counts, because I really wasn't celebrating anything (except maybe that it's finally the weekend), but my friend was playing the piano after school and my other friend and I were dancing through the hallway.

Please pray for my grandma. (again) She is in the hospital with acute pancreatitis, whatever that is. Thanks.
Hope that you keep feeling better, Mrs. Rue!
I am not that much of a singer or dancer or anything like that, but I will celebrate by riding my horse to music. That is so much fun!

Hey ladies!! :D Sorry I came back for, like, one post and then was gone again. I just never had enough time meditate on the posts and comment, because I was really busy. I think I could celebrate with dancing in my dance class, plus it's a Christian studio, so my teacher always tell us to dance for God. :) Hope you feel better soon Mrs. Rue, I don't think I'm speaking only for myself when I say your like a second mom to us, and we love you SOOOOO much!! :) Btw, I meant to be a part of the book think for you, but I got super busy, so I will try to send you my lil piece as soon as I can. Praying for your grandma Laura. Love you ladies!! :D <3

Happy new year to you all!!! I will celebrate by playing guitar.
I just have question about the book made for Mrs Rue. I never heard about it. If someone could let me know what it is that would be great. Am I in it?
I hope you feel better Mrs Rue!

Mimi: Therese came up with the idea of making something for Mrs. Rue for Christmas and emailed the few people she had contacts for. From there she emailed Crystal who sent out an email to everyone who had commented on the blog this year telling them about this idea. We made a google document which everyone Crystal emailed could see and everyone could write stories, poems, letters, etc. and send in pictures which would be included in the google document. We set a deadline and when it was up I volunteered to assemble the book. At one point I went through all the old blog posts looking for pictures submitted by us and put them in the document as well. You did actually end up in the book in the form of your name next to a photo of a rainbow over an ocean or something with a sailboat on the edge. Mrs. Rue said in the last post that if you want to send something else in there are a few blank pages in the back of the book where she could put extras.
Hope you feel better Mrs. Rue!

Get well soon Mrs. Rue! Just got back from vacation so I'm trying to catch up on my blog-reading...I love the Advent/Epiphany series! At church today, our pastor spoke about the "last part of the Christmas story" (the massacre of babies in Bethlehem) and the question "Where is God?" in tragedies like the one in CT. I've been learning a lot this season.
Welcome, Adriana! :)

Hi everyone! I basically did the same thing as Destini - show up for one or two posts then disappear again (in my case it was because of the Christmas show I was in - 19 performances in just over 4 wks), and I'll be celebrating by NOT singing or dancing for about a day and catching up on some much needed sleep. ;)
Welcome Adriana!!!

So I'm back at my college. My best friend from last semester transferred out so at the moment I'm feeling a bit lost as everyone else already has their best friends and I don't because she left...so I'm not in a terribly cheerful mood right now. Prayers appreciated.

Praying for you Melody, that you'll feel better, keep up your old friendship, and can find other girls to connect with soon! :)
