Good morning, Mini-Women! Today is our last day to talk about The Beautiful You. Well, actually, that isn't true because we are ALWAYS talking about how to be the most beautiful people we can be inside and out -- but you get the idea. I thought the best way to wrap up our series would be to try a little experiment. Ready?
Step 1. Pick out a few girls you know who are considered cute or pretty. Watch them whenever you can. IF you see one being rude to somebody or basically acting bratty, watch even more closely. Is she still pretty? What if someone caught her on camera at that moment? Would a magazine put it on the cover? (The picture you see of me here is a prime example! Fortunately, I was doing a skit. I hope I don't ever look like that when I'm talking to someone in real life!)
Step 2. Go through a magazine you can tear pages out of. A teen or tween magazine works best. Collect all the pictures of what you think are pretty girls, just from the way they look. Then put them in two piles: (1) girls you'd like to be friends with, and (2) girls you might steer clear of. What's the difference? Which pile is truly beautiful?
Step 3. Make a list of the people you love. Next to each one, write in a few words why you love that person so much. Then picture each one in your mind or look at the person for real if you can. Do you see ANY of those people as "ugly"?
Step 4. If you want to watch someone become even more beautiful, tell the person why you love him or her and see what happens on that person's face. (You'll be more beautiful too, as you're doing it).
That's what these weeks of discussing Beauty Tips have been about. Yes, make the most of the physical gifts God has given you -- your hair and your skin and your personal style. Use your Beauty Book and keep adding to it as you get to know your gorgeous self better. But don't neglect the best beauty secret there is: the fact that you were made by God to love and laugh and live knowing you are treasured.
If you want to post today, then, tell us about the most beautiful person you know -- whether he or she is magazine cover material or not. Let's hear about the truly Beautiful People today. One thing is for sure -- each of you belongs on that list!
Blessings,
Nancy Rue
One of the most beautiful person I know is my cousin! She looks like a movie star but the important thing is that she loves the Lord! She has gone on trips to Africa to spread the Good News. She is really nice ! The kids in Africa called her Mama Kelsey! I always have alot of fun with her! When we have Bible studies together she helps me understand some things and helps me have a better relation ship with Christ. It is nice to have someone that can help you when you want to see or understand something more clearly. Even though she is older than me she makes me feel like her best friend!

hmmm...the most beautiful person i know is prlly my cuz, Ashley. not only is she pretty, she's a Christian and always kind. she always makes sure to give me compliments, and not on my outfit--on my natural features, like my eyes or hair. she took a mission trip to Indonesia, and everyone absolutely loved her. she's not afraid to proclaim her faith in Christ, and is always jamming to clean, Christian music. she might be in college, but she's still a teenage girl @ heart!

One of the most prettiest girls I know is my friend, Michaela. She is a few years older than me but she treats me like a regular person, not like someone who is three years younger. She is SO sweet and funny and she is a joy to be around! She loves God SO much and she knows SO much about His word!! She is leading a Bible study for me and some of my friends. I'm SO glad that I know her because she's beautuful inside and out!

The most beautiful person I know is my mom. I know, sounds original, but there's no one else in the world I tell more things to. My mom is what you consider very pretty, but she's not physically drop-dead gorgeous. Still,I admire her staying true to her style. More than that, we can tell each other little tips we learn from our bible studies, and help each other grow in our faith. We even dance around to our favorite Christian music together, once in a while! :) Yes, we have our moments but she's like a best friend, through the good and the bad.
