Hello, Mini-Women! I'm still going "GRRRRR!" because the power flickered off and took away the AWESOME post I had put together for you -- all 1100 words of it. I have someone trying to recover it for me, but in the meantime, I'm going to shake it off and give you the high points (But it was so GOOD!)
What I said was that you girls sure know how to plan a party! LAURA started us off with her scrapbook page (shown here) which gives us a great view of (let me see if I can remember it -- I can't get to my email, either!) "a positive family reunion". Don't you love that?
Then you all chimed in with great food and activities and music and all kinds of great stuff that I can't reconstruct for you right now because I can't get to your comments! (Oh, I said I was going to shake that off . . . sorry) As one of you said, "It would be so much fun that it would make us forget all the changes going on with us and we wouldn't even think about how weird we look!"
Things like "We could share Bible verses" and "I would invite everyone on this blog" (including me and apparently Baby Maeryn, too!) show what loving, caring, giving people you are. Every bit as much so as the four famous women we talked about last time. (If I don't get the original post back, I'll comb back through your comments and see who those winners were again) The point is, why would we not celebrate!
So I said we'd take it one step farther and make Friday, July 8 our official Tween You and Me Party Day. Here's what we need to do to prepare. Choose as many of these as you want to do:
*comment with a recipe for your fave party treat (something simple -- not a chocolate souffle!); I'll choose a few that I think would work well for most people and you can make that treat (or all fo them!) so all of us can eat it/them on the same day. (Thanks for that idea, HOLLY)
* comment with instructions for a simple friendship bracelet, one that doesn't require a lot of craft tools and special supplies. I'll choose the one I think most people can make and you can make yours and wear it on Party Day. (thanks for that idea -- I think it was JOYZ maybe?)
* comment with your own challenge for "Would You Rather?", something that fits our celebration of growing as Mini-Women. (Would someone please post a comment explaining what the game "Would You Rather?" is for those who haven't played it?) I'll put them all together and we can all play on Party Day.
* get the camera ready for someone to take pix of you as you prepare and celebrate so you can put them in your summer journey scrapbook, or do drawings of your own to paste in there. You are always welcome to email photographs to me, even of drawings, (send them as a jpg file) so I can post them here on the blog. (It's best not to send a pic showing your face unless you have your parents' permission, and I'll need that from THEIR email address).
There will be more as that day approaches, but that'll keep us busy for now! Please post those by THIS FRIDAY so I'll have time to get all the information to you. We're going to have a blast (as soon as I get over being all frustrated!) There isn't a group of people I would rather celebrate with. As KELSEY said in her comment: "Let's all PARTY!!!!!!"
