Ever since Maeryn was born in January 2011 I've been sharing with you how much she teaches me all the time. Just this week I learned something HUGE from her and that is: sometimes you just need to stop and play. No matter what's going on, if you start taking everything too seriously . . . . you need to get creative and find your joy.
She did it this week by making "a birthday cake for my Mama and Daddy." (I'm not going to eat it, mind you. I'm not into Playdough for dessert.) I think you and I should do it by taking the shortest of all breaks here on Tween You and Me so we can wrap up the hard work of school and breathe before we start into summer.
So -- I"ll be back with a plan for our Summer Series on Tuesday, June 4 -- one week from today. Since I'm not giving you a topic to talk about, you won't need to comment. Just don't forget to check in next Tuesday to find out what I have in mind for SUMMER!
Meanwhile, take some time to play. Whether you get out the Playdough or come up with your own brand of fun, make sure there's laughing involved. God made us gigglers, after all!
I'll miss you, and I'll be praying for you -- just like I always do.
