Good morning, Mini-Women! We have more of you saying you're in for our Advent Adventure. Here's the list so far:
AMELIA (when she lands from her road trip)
Of COURSE, if you're just reading about this for the first time you can jump right in. Just read the last two posts and you'll be caught up. Just post a comment saying, "I'm in!"
Okay, the next question is: who has your calendar set up? Yesterday I explained how to divide your 11 by 17" paper into squares. If you haven't done that, see if you can make it happen over the holiday weekend so you'll be ready for Sunday. Let us know with a comment that you're ready.
Once you get that part done, you'll be ready for the second step, and here it is:
1. At the top of your calendar, in that wide blank space we left, write in any way you want to the words "Preparing Him Room". I just printed mine with a purple marker (because purple is the color for Advent), but you can write yours in cursive or even print it out on the computer and paste it in. use any color you want. You're going to use your calendar for 25 days, so make it as special as you can.
2. In each square, starting with the very first one on the top left, write in a number, so you'll have squares marked 1 through 25. There are 24 days in Advent, and of course the 25th is Christmas Day. I love that this year, Advent starts on December 1, which makes it easier to keep track. Make your numbers as plain or as fancy as you want, in any colors you want (again, I just used purple because it's the official color for the season) as long as you only use a tiny corner of each square. You need to leave room for what we're going to put in the square each day.
That's it! Do that and you're ready for SUNDAY!!! (And let us know when you are) I won't be posting again until then, so let me say now, have an incredible Thanksgiving, U.S. girls -- and for those of you in England and Australia and Canada and other places, any day is a good day to say, "God, I'm so grateful." I'm definitely grateful for all of you, Mini-Women!
