Goooood morning, Mini-Women! You are not only delightED, you are delightFUL! Thanks for the many, many (yes, many!) responses to the things that delight you. It's such a God-thing, right? Because -- and ASHER was the first one to find the verse -- Jesus even says:
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance. (John 10:10) The "they" he's talking about is YOU.
These are the things that delight you -- the God gifts you have in abundance:
God best friends each other here family (especially dads and little bros and sisses) this blog friends the outdoors pets serving helping playing writing drawing imagining doing anything creative choosing the right thing being bold for the Lord singing swimming dancing listening to music Jesus having adventures making cards for people the life you’re living writing in your TTGJ.
Speaking of the Talking To God Journal -- HALLE BELLE yes, writing in your journal, addressing your thoughts to God, that IS prayer. It 's, in fact, the whole point of writing there, to say, "God, here's what I'm thinking about. Here's what I don't understand. Here's what I need help with. Here's what I need forgiveness for. Here's what I'm thankful for. Here's who I'm concerned about. Here's me just showing up to be with You."
Sounds like praying to me ...
When we're delighted with the gifts, the abundance of God, we are less those un-authentic selves we've been talking about in our alphabet series. We don't have to be just a silhouette of ourselves, like ANA's image of herself when she feels like she can't be real. Whenever we're enjoying the gifts -- that's the true us. Delighted Mini-Women.
So now we turn to the Letter E. It's time for you to guess what word that starts with E describes how we need to be so we can be even closer to God.
I'm going to give you a clue this time, and no, it isn't in the above picture (I just thought it was cute .... maybe I've been reading too many children's books to Maeryn ...)
Try completing this sentence:
In order to really draw closer to God, I need to be e________.
As always, I can't wait to see what you come up with. Oh, and see if you can do it without using the dictionary or a thesaurus. Just let it come from you ... and of course it's okay to ask God in your TTGJ!!!!
